The Veteran Racers League (VRL) is a group of racing enthusiasts who play NASCAR The Game: Inside Line on the Xbox 360. It is ran like a regular racing series with practices, qualifying, racing, standings and yes, even penalties. Currently we are running 2 rooms (A series and B series) of 8 drivers each. All new drivers enter into the B series and race a season vying for a position in the A series.
To join the VRL, you will need to register in the VRL Forum using your xbox live gamertag as your username. A forum administrator will then approve your registration and you can then sign in with full access. From there you can access and review the rulebook for any series we are running. After that, you can signup for any series you want to race in. If at any time you have questions, just post them in the forum and someone will get back to you.
If you are interested, sign up for the forum (using your xbox live gamertag as your username) and message the administrator.
Season 12 Bristol (Night)
by Ancient56
& Cardinals121
Our next stop in season 12 of the VRL is to Michigan. After last weeks pole, Cardinals again sets a blistering lap time in qualifying of 35.68. giving him two pole starts on the season.
His starting spot wouldn't last him that long as lap 1 was the last time he would see it for the night. After a quick first caution TitaniumWayne took the lead for a stretch of laps before JumpedOcean tracked him down.
As Jumped led 12 laps his teammate Bshawn caught him and led from lap 25 to lap 64 where yellow flags were scarce but while leading and under green flag stops Bshawn's car seemed to blow a tire, or loose it, making him bring out the first caution in awhile.
After that and caution pit stops, there were many mishaps on restarts causing a red flag (making of a new lobby). This allowed Jumped to lead again. After more cautions and lead changes MrDeerHunter was in the lead, and did not give it up even for an oncoming fight from essk8er, giving Deer his second win of the young season, essk8er 2nd, and Wayne 3rd.
Onto the B-series report here is Ancient.
In the B series Eagles got the pole and the early lead, Jerkwad was 2nd, but Ancient passed him after a few laps. For the first 20 laps a 3 second interval separated Eagles from Ancient, and 3 more between Ancient and Jerkwad. After the first two cautions it was Eagles, Jerk and Reelman up front.
Ancient, Dcore and Littlestixx dodged a major wreck involving Eagles, Jerkwad, and Reelman on lap 49. Littlestixx and Dcore started up front, but Ancient got around them and led the next 15 laps. Eagles chased him down, but 15 laps later Ancient caught Eagles to again take the lead. On the green flag pit stops Ancient took 4 tires, Eagles and Jerkwad in 2nd and 3rd took only two. It was Eagles up front, with Jerkwad 6 seconds ahead of Ancient now in 3rd. Ancient cut down Jerkwads lead to about 2.3 seconds when Littlestixx brought out the final caution.
At the restart it was Eagles up front, with Jerkwad right behind. With two to go Ancient passed Jerkwad, but on the next corner Jerkwad bumped the rear end of the #14 car sending him sideways. Dcore squeezed around what was sure to be a wreck, but Ancient saved it!
At the finish line it was Eagles taking the win, Jerkwad 2nd, with Ancient who had moved around Dcore close behind for 3rd.
Jerkwad stays atop the B series leaderboard with Eagles 5 points back.
